Jan Lund was trained as a pianist in 1990 and a singer – Tenor – in 1994.


Since then he has sung main parts on virtually all of our Danish opera stages, from the Funen Opera over the Jutland Opera to the Royal Theatre, as well as on several foreign opera stages in, among others, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Norway, Sweden, Great Britain and the United States.


In 2014 he debuted with great success in the USA at the Dallas Lyric Opera and in 2016 in France with the Philharmonique de Radio France

.


His repertoire is incredibly broad and ranges from Baroque opera over the great romantics to the newly written operas of our time, with several roles written for, and premiered by JL.


In the great oratorios and passions, JL is also a beloved and frequently used evangelist as well as oratorio and concert soloist.


Alongside the opera career, J.L. sings. several lied concerts and church concerts as well as concerts with a more relaxed and entertaining repertoire, e.g. together with the soprano Elsebeth Dreisig In the duet collaboration: Duetten på Pletten.
